The stories have been broadcast on Radio 4 and they are now available in a book of 24 stories, beautifully illustrated by Joel Stewart. The stories describe one year in the life of a boy who lives with his grandparents, growing up in Huddersfield in 1959. Hamish will talk about the background to the stories, how they came to be broadcast on BBC Radio 4, and read one of the stories.
The ticket price of £8.50 includes Tea, Coffee or pop and a piece of cake and a book that will be signed and personally dedicated by Hamish. You will also have the opportunity to buy additional copies of the book at £8.99 and have them signed on the night.
The evening starts at 7.30pm and ends at 9pm. This is an exclusive evening with only 12 tickets available for a cosy Tea Room experience and plenty of opportunity to talk to the Author 1 to 1.
