Flambards K.M.Peyton Book Pack

A rare collection of all four books all NEW.

  1. Flambards: When Christina is sent to live in the grand country house, Flambards, she doesn't know what to expect. Once there, she meets two young men, Mark and Will, trying to cope with their bad-tempered father. As time goes by Christina has both brothers vying for her attention and it's just a matter of time before she has to choose.
  2. The Edge of the Cloud: The First World War is looming and for young sweethearts, Christina and Will, their adventures are just beginning as they head to London - their heads full of dreams.  Will has just one ambition - to design and pilot flying machines. And when war breaks out, she fears the worst . . . that she may lose the man she loves for ever.
  3. Flambards in Summer: 1916. The First World War is well underway, and Christina is one of the many women left behind. When she returns to Flambards, she finds much has changed. The house is buried in ivy, the paddocks are overgrown, and the once busy stables are deserted and desolate. Christina vows to return the manor house to its former glory, and works hard to transform her childhood home into a successful farm. It is only when a familiar face appears at her door one day that she realizes Flambards may even bring her love again .
  4. Flambards Divided: The old ivy-covered house of Flambards has seen many changes since Christina first arrived as a young girl. With the First World War coming to an end, Christina feels the time has come to leave the past behind and make a new future for herself. But she finds her loyalties divided between tradition and progression, and between the two men who stand for such opposing values. She knows there is a terrible decision to be made

"Books received by my mother thank you so much. She is so happy and it has calmed her down, she has been so hyper and anxious the last few days, but your magic has worked wonders. Thank you thank you thank you!" Carolyn in London

Good afternoon, this may be a little random, but I have had an experience due to your shop!
I popped in a couple of weeks ago and picked-up a book for my grandma related to WW1 and Castle Donington. Through her reading of the book, we discovered that it had some relatives in it. We found out more information about our family history and how they passed in the war. I used this information to undertake some online/Facebook research and I am now in contact with some Austrian relatives.
A 10-minute trip to you has led to a lot!

"This fabulous bookshop is quirky, welcoming - an absolute treasure trove. The time's I've challenged the team to find a certain book for me and never have they let me down. Now when I go in they make suggestions of books they think I may enjoy and even keep books to one side for me if I'm not about for a day or two.

They also provide the most wonderful monthly subscription to my Mum - a cosy crime novel each month. As I live a good distance from her it's lovely to hear her excitement when she receives her book and to talk about what has been sent on the 'phone. A great gift thoughtfully delivered by an knowledgeable, wonderful team. Thank you and keep up the wonderful work! You are, without a doubt, my favourite shop in all the world! x" Rachel in Wales
