Local Writers, you are invited to the Bookshop on Friday 6th March 2020 from 19:00-21:30 for the next meeting of ‘Scribblers’ an informal social gathering for local writers, published and unpublished, poetry and prose.
A safe haven for local writers to chat, swap top tips and ask opinions. Tea, coffee & cake is available should you require it. No fee to attend, just a place to meet other writers and talk about anything you like, from character development or Oxford commas. Every 6 weeks, same time, same place.
At the last meeting, some writers did a 5 minute reading of their current work to get some feedback on style and tone. So be prepared to listen and add a few comments – or bring a page of your own work to read if you would like any friendly feedback. No pressure, but its a safe place to share if you wish to.
Who should attend?
Anyone currently working on a story or novel or set of poems, anyone hoping to start or anyone already published who is looking to develop their marketing methods and swap ideas and experiences with others. Whatever your experience, you are welcome to come along and chat with other ‘scribblers’…
No commitment necessary, no rules, subs or memberships, just a safe and encouraging place to find other writers to bounce your ideas, swap top tips or share your challenges.
