Tea Room

Tea Room

Enjoy our 1930s style Tea Room with all original furniture of the time, and choose from over 65 different teas, or a filter coffee, with traditional cakes made by a local professional baker.

Relax on the Chaise Longue with a good book or sit at the tables with friends and chat.

Brought to your table in a vintage teapot, cup and saucer, sugar lumps with silver tongs, silver spoons and pastry forks, with real napkins and original hand-embroidered tablecloths.

Try our selection of traditional cakes, all professionally baked locally; Victoria sponge, lemon drizzle, chocolate brownie, fruit tea loaf, custard tart, coffee & walnut sponge, or a full cream tea with fresh scones, butter, jam & Cornish clotted cream.

Gluten-free, dairy-free, vegetarian and Vegan options are always available.

Sandwiches are also available and made freshly to order, or to take away with a coffee or tea if you are passing by.

Bringing a special visitor? You can always book a table for our special Afternoon Tea with finger sandwiches, cream tea and cake selection on a three-tier cake stand, with a pot of tea or coffee.

Perfect for a birthday or just an afternoon with friends. Bookings are available Tuesday to Sunday for Afternoon Tea 2-4pm, High Tea 4-7pm or Evening Supper 7-9pm.

Why not book the Tea Room for the evening for your Committee meeting, or social club? Buffet Catering of your choice can be provided. Knitting Group, Book Club, Craft Evening, script read-through, poetry workshop, writing class, birthday party, craft group, anti-natal group, cycling meet… we can seat 15 at tables.

Open on: Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday from 8am to 7pm, but we are happy to open on Sunday and Monday for any group bookings or parties.
